As the crowd left the shop, Anvil closed it down and followed them.

"So Kohaku," he asked the feline, "unfortunately we didn't have to much time to talk about the designs." He smiled, "How about dinner tonight? I'm only a single, but I'm sure I could cobble something together."

"Hmm.. Sir Kaji?" Kohaku asked, looking to Kaji for approval.

"I've no objections, but just be careful on your way home. There are still others who might attack you Gadget."

"Yes sir, and if I do run into trouble I'll just run away. I doubt they can outrun me."

Some time later, The group finally made it to the training grounds, where Spike and Kaji's family were waiting patiently.

"Oh Hey there! What are you all doing here?" Kaji said to his family as the twins suddenly got up to greet him.

"DADDY!" Shouted the Twins as they glomped their father

"Oof! haha! I take it you are all here to watch the rest of us train huh?"

"YEAH!"

Kohaku saw Spike and walked over to him with a smile.

"Hello Spike, It's nice to see you've made a quick recovery. Will you be joining us for training today?"

Anvil smiled at Kohaku, "So that's settled then".
He looked over the place, trying to settle in. He could only assume the others were way more advanced than him. He was quite nervous, but managed to keep himself under control, trying not to show it.
"At least the kids are going to have a laugh", he thought to himself which took off some of his excitement, making him smile a bit.
He snapped out of it, trying not to miss any kind of instruction.

Spike saw Gadget walk over to him and then just just smiled back. "Oh, hello." Spike said with a long pause for a moment. "Uuhhhhhhhh... I believe I didn't even get your name miss... And yes, I will be joining you both for training. I think I saw you yesterday too..."

After seeing that everyone was present, Sparkster cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Welcome, everybody, to the first lesson for Rocket Knight recruits! As most of you know, I am the famous Sir Sparkster Sanjulo, Elhorn's greatest hero and the current leader of the Rocket Knights. Sir Kaji Firestone and I are proud to be teaching you the way of the Rocket Knight. I'm especially proud of my two sons, Booster and Lucas, who will be learning along with you. Well, now that we have the introductions out of the way, I'll let Sir Kaji take the wheel and present the first lesson."

Kohaku chuckled a little at first, She was happy to know Spike hadn't given up, even more so that he wasn't seriously injured.

"My name is Kohaku, but you can call me Gadget if you'd like. I'm glad you could make it today!"

When Gadget heard Spike mention seeing her the day before, she nodded.

"Yup, I was there when your rocket boot thingies went wacko. I was the girl in the tree who pulled you down to the ground. I'm glad I didn't hurt you doing that... I wasn't really sure how that was going to work myself."

Kohaku heard Sparkster Speak and then turned her attention to him, and Kaji. As soon as Kaji was given his cue he checked to see if everyone was paying attention.

"Thank you Sir. ahem!" Kaji cleared his throat. "I am Sir Kaji Firestone, and I would like to start off by telling you all straight up. After today, your training will not only become harder, but Some of the tricks and techniques you learn can be dangerous if they are not used wisely. You will only used these skills to protect the innocent from harm, and the kingdom from invaders." Kaji looked over his pupils, and grinned. "Also remember that just because you are young, do not think for one moment that either of us will go easy on you, you will have to become stronger as your training goes on. We will start with a simple regimen of exercises that will improve your stamina, as well as basic combat skills, you will also be taking your very first flight lessons. Do you think you are all ready for this?"

Kaji stood there, waiting for an answer. Kohaku stood up and nodded.

"Yes sir! Sir Kaji, Sir Sparkster, I won't let you down!"

"Yes, sir! I will suceed!"

As he looked at his two sons, Sparkster turned away to hide his tears of joy, having never been prouder.

(where the heck is everyone? and I swear to God Mitsukoshi, if I see one more post like that last one, You're out. I'm not kidding, You keep bugging me to post and update, and you expect me to respond to TWO lines? Low Experience or not, I made it very clear that you have to NARRATE. jeez! Why'd I even bother with this site? NOBODY posts in any of the other Threads or Sections.)

Booster got up straight and saluted. "Yes Sir! I'll give it my All!" He said with a grin.

"Mom? When do they get to the actual Training?" William asked his mother.

"Shhh! Just wait and see."

Meanwhile, The Wolves who were stalking Kohaku were hiding in the trees far from the training ground, but they were still able to keep an eye out.

"Theeere she is... Looks like she's been recruited..." Said one
"Recruited for what?" Said the other.
"Recruited into The Rocket Knights to Git!" The first one knocked the other on the head.
"Oooouch! what was that for?"
"SHH! Shut up you idiot.. You'll blow our cover."

Anvil felt a bit uneasy not knowing what to expect or do. He looked over to the others to try to find out whether he was supposed to do anything and what. He decides to stand still and straight, thinking that would be the most appropriate thing to do.

Suddenly he noticed the wolves hiding in the tree at some distance. What were those up to? Were they part of the training? Spectators?

He would have thought more about it, but suddenly he was interrupted.

((I'll take control of Sparkster for a while.))

While everyone was oblivious to the Wolves watching (aside from Anvil himself) Sparkster continued his lecture.

"Very good. I'm glad to see such eager young cadets." Sparkster said as he looked to everyone. "Now.. Before we get to actual combat. You all need to understand the Rocket Knight's Code of Chivalry."

"Chivalry..? You mean like, how a knight must always be honest, respect everyone regardless of gender or race, and uphold the honor of the Kingdom we serve?" Said Gadget.

"Um..." Sparkster made one of his surprised looks. Most would find his expression humorous. "Why.. yes, that's about the it in a nutshell, Well said Miss Kohaku."

"Tee hee! Why thank you Sir." Gadget said with a smile.

"She's a sharp one huh?" Kaji asked with a smirk.

"Yes, Very. But lets not get side-tracked." Sparkster said as he looked to the young aspiring Knights. "There IS a little more to it than that kids. A Knight must also show courtesy to those we serve, Both wealthy and poor."

Sparkster paused or a moment to see if anyone was paying attention.

"So I expect every single one of you to hold yourselves, and each other to that standard. You must also know when to Yield to the enemy when you have met your match and so on. A Knight must NEVER kill another Knight unless the opponent refuses to yield, or if there comes a point when the lives and safety of others depend on it."

"But.. Sir Sparkster...? Isn't Yielding just another word for giving up a fight?" Gadget asked.

"It shows respect to those who are at the same class as you, there is no shame in admitting defeat, so long as you live to fight another day." Sparkster said. "Refusing to do so once you've been beaten will almost guarantee death for you. Please remember that."

"I see... I understand." Gadget nodded.
