Rocket Knights: Rise of the Black Knights

Kaji declined Gadget's offer to help pay for the shoes and paid the Shop keeper what was owed to him. Then took the shoes and handed them to Gadget

"Thank you sir" Kaji said before turning to Gadget "Go ahead and try them on."

Gadget nodded, then tried to balance on one foot while she put one of them on the other, when she noticed the Shop keeper giving her odd looks. This distracted her, and she suddenly lost he balance, causing her to bump into a shelf which then caused a domino effect, knocking down other shelves until they were all knocked down, a few even broken..

After it all had fallen, Kohaku and the others looked over the aftermath, and then Kohaku's ears folded.

"O-oh.... Oops...." Kohaku said looking nervously at the store keeper. "I.... I'm so sorry.."

The hedgehog just sighed in an irritated, but forgiving tone as he just begins picking things up. "It's alright..." He said as he just placed a couple of shoes on the counter. "My brother makes much bigger messes than this..." He just keeps piling things on the counter and making sure that he has everything that survived the incident while muttering things to himself.

Meanwhile with the other and shorter quill'd hedgehog, believe it or not, he was actually flying. "It works! It works!" He yelled out in glee as he flew around a couple of times. "Ha ha! I can't believe this works!" He keeps shouting out in the tone of a overly excited eight year old.

Kohaku, feeling responsible decided to follow suit and help the hedgehog pick up the mess. Lifting up shelf no bigger than she was, then picking up shoes and putting them on the same counter.

"Gadget, we really need to get going..." Said Kaji

"You don't have to help..." Said Lilly.

"I can't just leave the mess I made.." Said Kohaku as she went to pick up more shoes. The she heard the Hedgehog muttering to himself."Sir...? Are you okay over there...?"

The hedgehog just looks up at Kohaku while still looking down at the floor where shoes were spread across everywhere.

"Huh?" He asked like he was snapped out of a daze. "Oh, I'm fine..." He says as he just continue cleaning up the mess the cat made and just keeps muttering to himself.

The other hedgehog on the while was still flying around with his armor and welded rockets for a little bit, but then there was a loud boom. He looked around to see where the boom came from and then he discovers that one of the rockets broke and his well earned smile turned into a face of disapproval and irritation.

"Oh no... Not again!" He yelled out in frustration as he began loosing control.

Kohaku's ears picked up on a loud boom from outside, everyone else picked up on it as well. Kohaku was the first the leap over what was left of the mess with cat-like agility until she was outside, she then saw something flying aimlessly about, another.. hedgehog? His rocket pack had malfunctioned and he was out of control.


"Oh no! He's gonna crash!" Kohaku exclaimed as she tried to follow the hedgehog in distress.

"What is that kid doing!?" Kaji followed after Kohaku.

Soon, Kohaku came across a tree that the Hedgehog was near, and she quickly climbed the tree until she was high enough to maybe jump to him. When he got close enough.

"Kohaku! What are you doing!?"

"I think I can help him!"

"No you fool! You'll BOTH get hurt!"

Kohaku waited for her opportunity as others watched. When the hedgehog was in range, she leaped onto the Hedgehogs shoulders. Oh! Hot! The Rocket Pack was really hot! and OUCH! The quills on the Hedgehogs head were pointy and prickly, but fortunately, this put more weight than a single working rocket could handle, and they slowly drifted down, once the Rocket was turned off and they were both safely on the ground, Kohaku quickly jumped off of the hedgehog, then checked the dress she was in for damage... somehow, there was no damage to the dress.

Kaji watch in awe as the once, timid kitten bravely tackled the situation as if she were a lioness. and with such speed and strength. There was more to here than meets the eye, he thought..

Before Kohaku had saved the hedgehog, he really was flying out of control and yelling things out like "Get this crazy thing off of me!" and "Mayday! Mayday!" as he was flailing around and going ten different places until he was headed for the tree.

When she was about to grab him, he just flailed his arms and tried to warn the cat to get out of the way before she gets hit by the speeding hedgehog rocket of death. (<--- lol) "The hell are you doing!?" He yelled out to the cat. "Get out of the way!"

And finally, when they began to drift down, Kohaku accidentally dragged him down until his face meet the dirt and rocks bellow as they kept going until the rocket was completely off. Of course he was muttering in the ground as the rocket slowed down.

Kohaku looked down at the Hedgehog, and realized that his face was in the dirt.

"Oh no! Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?" Kohaku said as she frantically checked on him to make sure he was at least alive. She could hear him muttering something, but couldn't understand it. "Ooooh... I'm so sorry...! I was trying to help you get down safely..."

Kaji walked over to the two of them.

"Are you two alright...?" He asked.

"Gadget! Gadget! You were awesome!" Said the Twins.

But.. all the sudden, some other villagers, same ones who were looking at her funny before, approached the scene and started to spout the first things that came to mind.

"Did you see that! She tried to kill him!"
"Get that Cat off the street! She'll give us all flees!"
"She's a menace! She's Evil!"

and stuff of that nature.

"N...no.. I'm not evil..." Kohaku looked at all the strangers who accused her of wrong doing. She covered her head as they began to throw things at her. "Stop it... STOP IT!!"

"Kaji! Do something!"

"ENOUGH!!!" Kaji yelled, as he got in front of Kohaku. "Haven't you anything better to do than spread rumors and hate!? Kohaku was trying to help! Now get lost or I'll arrest the lot of you!"

Artemis finished writing what had to be written, and carefully put away his things. He left the room and went outside, taking off and flying high above the city of Zebulos. He hadn't noticed the commotion going on below, deep in a train of thought.

After hearing Kaji's yelling, and having respect for his authority, The villagers all stopped throwing things at Kohaku, which was a good thing, cause one was getting ready to throw a brick or two. But they were still staring at Kohaku hatefully. Kohaku couldn't bring herself to look back, but fortunately, the Firestone Family was right behind her.

"Are you alright Kohaku...?" Asked Julia

"I think so..." She said teary eyed.

"Lets get going before the crowd gets rough again..." Kaji suggested.

The Twins took Kohaku by the hands. "C'mon Gadget, Lets get away from all these bullies.."

"A..Alright..." Kohaku looked the the Hedgehog who had crashed. "Sorry if I got you hurt... I hope it isn't too bad.. Gotta go.."

Kaji looked to the young hedgehog too, somewhat inspecting his rocket pack in the process. "Hmm.. I'm not sure what happened, but perhaps make sure there are no kinks in your fuel lines, and that everything is well oiled..." Kaji looked to Kohaku and his family. "Come on everyone, We shouldn't keep the Sparkster and his family waiting much longer.."

With Julia in the front, the Twins walking with Kohaku, Kaji took up the rear of the group so that he could see all of them, making sure nobody would try anything funny. After a good 15 minutes or so They finally made it to the Sanjulo Estate (or Farm) where Kaji couldn't help but notice an odd looking vehicle at the side of house.

"Odd... I wonder where that came from...?"

But Kaji dismissed it for now, as he then took up the front to lead the others up to the front door, before knocking.

Inside, Stella hears a knock on the door. "Oh! That must be them now." She looks to Lucas. "Lucas! Will you answer the Door dear?"

"OK, Mom! I'll get it!", Lucas says, but then turns to Mr. Saturn. "Alright, Mr. Saturn, your on!"

"KaY-0!", he says, then opens the door. "HI HI HI! aM mr. SaTURn, B0ING! aM bUTler t0nighT, dING! Y0u c0ME eATINg, daK0tA?"

Kaji and Company were a bit surprised by the pink thing in the tux. They had never seen anything like Mr.Saturn before.

"What a strange little critter.."

"Don't be rude Kaji... It actually looks cute in that little tuxedo~"

Kohaku got down on her knees to inspect the little alien and picked him up in her hands. She then tilted her hands.

"My My~" Said Stella as she went to see who was there. "It's been a long time you guys, is this your new friend I've heard so much about?"

Kohaku looked up at Stella, then back at the Mr.Saturn, before giving it a hug and setting him down.

"what a strangely cute creature." Kohaku said with a smile before standing up and giving a polite bow to the hosts. "Hello, I'm Kohaku."

"Well, it is very nice to meet you Miss. Kohaku. How do you like it here in Zebulos so far?" Stella asked, not realizing what had happened.

"..."

"Um.. Lets just say.. it's become a rather difficult adjustment so far.. But not on her part.. She likes it here.. just some of the villagers aren't too happy with her being around."

"Oh.. I'm sorry.. I'm sure they'll get used to you soon enough.. They just gotta get to know you a bit more." Stella smiled. "Come on in~"

With that, the Firestone, and Kohaku walked into the house and had a seat. Booster came into the room as well and saw them all there.

"Hey!" Said Booster "That must be the new chick, nice to finally meet you."

The entire time, Spike was actually knocked out, so he couldn't speak nor do anything through the duration of these last few posts. Wanna take a small guess who had to drag his unconscious body?

Meanwhile in a mysterious island, held secret from the rest of the world, is the hide out of the rouge Rocket Knights, known as the Black Knights. Shiba Inu, was on her way to report the whereabouts of Kohaku to her leader, Axel Gear. She entered the hideout, located in the Volcano of the island, which was used for powering up the plant inside, which was run by slaves they had captured drifting out at sea and were now forced to work in horrible conditions.

Most of the slaves seemed to mostly be made up of felines (who were either banished, or tried to flee from Koal) , but any magic they would have known was rendered useless due to the bizarre nature of the Islands geology, and the rare minerals it comprised of. The slaves were forced to mine this rare ore, forge it into armor and parts for mechs, as well as put the mechs together.

Shiba showed no emotion towards the agony of the slaves around her, she was not hear for any benefit other than to give Axel Gear the info she had. She approached a room where Axel sat, waiting patiently.

"Axel Gear, I have intel on the target.." She said, getting down on one knee.

"Go on then.. tell me, has she been taken care of?"

"Unfortunately... a Rocket Knight got to her first... My men were too cowardly to fight him off..."

"I see... Our client will not be at all happy that we allowed this one to slip through our fingers..."

"I have my men keeping an eye on her as we speak.. What would like them to do..?"

"Wait for the Girl to be alone.. Whether she is brought her dead or alive, I will leave to your discretion, but I will demand proof of her death if you should choose to slay her. Understood..?"

"As you wish.. I shall fly back and let them know."

With that, Shiba stood up and left the island, flying back towards Zebulos.

"0hhhhh... kiTTY lAdY fUzzY! fEELiNG wArm iNSIde, z00m! kaY-0, g0 SEt tABle n0w, dINg!" Mr. Saturn then went to the dining room to set the table.

(Later, when everyone is seated)

"Alright, settle down, lady-killer.", Sparkster said to Booster. "Anyway, how do you like Zebulos so far, Kohaku?"

Kohaku simply looked to Sparkster before giving him an answer.

"Well... I like it here a lot better than Koal, but I don't think Zebulos likes me very much.."

"There was a bit of a rough scene on the way here.. Kohaku tried to help someone in need, but when it didn't go exactly as planned, some of the witnesses saw it as an attack, and started throwing things at her..."

"Oh my... That's awful..." Stella said in a sad tone.

"I'll be okay... Kaji was there to put a stop to it before it got out of hand.. I just hope that boy is going to be okay.."

"Kids these days... Trying to build their own Rockets and Armor so they can be wannabe Rocket Knights..."

"Rocket Knights....? What's a Rocket Knight...?"

The Twins would have normally answered that question with great esteem, but were too busy admiring Lucas' Curry Rice.

"Yum! Yum! This Curry is Awesome!" The Twins cheered.

Kohaku then looked at the curry on her own plate and she had to admit, it looked really good. She took a bite of it and let it sit in her mouth a few seconds before chewing. Oh! It was a bit spicy, but the rice helped cool it down a little to even it out.

"This tastes really good." She said with a smile.
