Do we need/want a Muck?

A muck would allow us to interact in a real time way.
Mucks are a bit like chatrooms, but you can build worlds with multiple rooms and have characters with descriptions and all.

We could either run our own muck, which is a bit of work, or we could be guests on another muck, for example SpinDizzy.

What do you think?

I actually don't know if we will need something like that at this time. We don't have a lot of members yet.

Well going to an existing Muck would allow for a lot of casual RP situations when interacting with the people already there.

I suppose that's true. Any idea how to actually get that done? at least until I figure out how to put it up on here. cause I know there is a way to set something like that up on proboards. just don't remember how it was done.

EDIT:
Nevermind I got the live chat set up. You'll find it up on the menu bar up on the top of the screen. I have to install java before I can use it myself, but it won't take much time to do.

The downside to this, is that we don't have the ability to make separate chat rooms. I would have to pay at least $80 USD, just to get the base professional version of that sucker. So until I have money, I can't really get that set up.

Well using a Muck would be free, and wouldn't require Java. (Java is currently one of the biggest security holes in Browsers)

Well once you have a character I can help you with that. Unfortunately I'll be camping next week. BTW you can also access the Muck as a guest. You'll have limited rights and are unable to change your form from the random one that is preset, but it's a way to look if that is the right thing for you.

Keep in mind that this is a roleplaying encouraged muck. So sometimes you might stumble into OOC discussions.
