Name: Kohaku “Gadget” Sphynx
Nicknames: Gadget (given to her by Kaji Firestone) and Kitten (given to her by Armor)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species: Cat (Orange Tabby with Brown Stripes)
Weapon: Sword, and hand-made gadgets (whatever she can come up with at the time,
usually smoke bombs)
Allegiance/Class: Rookie Rocket Knight, and Engineer
Homeland: Koal (Banished, now resides in Zebulos)
Height: 4.5 ft tall
Weight: 90 lbs
Hair: Long and Brown (usually worn in a ponytail)
Eyes: Green
Fur: Mostly Orange, but has brown stripes and she has a patches of white on her hands, feet, muzzles, and the ends of her ears and tail. Her chest/belly is also white.
Clothing: When she’s not on duty, Kohaku sports rather casual villager’s attire; brown pants and a white shirt. Sometimes she will wear the brown sleeveless under suit of her armor.
Armor: Kohaku’s Chest plate Armor is a simple silver color, but her gloves and boots are Red with Yellow Trim and silver bands. She has a Green Power stone on her chest plate. Her Rocket is also silver, except for the extendable wings that pop out as she flies, which are red with grey and white trim. She sports Grey Goggles with a Green visor and red straps. Kohaku also like to wear a red scarf around her neck to protect her face from the cold as she flies.
Personality: Kohaku is the type of person you just want to hug over and over again. She's very sweet and sensitive. She has her quirks however. For example, Kohaku likes to try new things so much, that she doesn't usually think about the consequences. When experimenting with her bombs, she might occasionally have one blow up Indoors which fills the room with smoke, often annoying her peers/superiors.
Another one of Kohaku's little quirks is that she doesn't like to get wet, specifically, with cold water. Something about the feeling of cold wet water soaking her fur makes her cringe in disgust. Warm water however does not bother her.
Kohaku has a fondness for tinkering, and likes to learn about technology . Partly because it gives her more opportunities to expand her arsenal of bombs, which will allow her to better assist her comrades.
She doesn't like to admit it, but behind her tomboyish exterior, there's a part of her that just wants to fit in with the crowd, especially with the other girls. Perhaps one day she'll even meet a strapping young man to get prettied up for too.
Skills:
Primarily, Kohaku has been trained to use a sword to a fair level, but when she finds herself or her comrades in a tough spot, she will almost immediately resort to her handmade bombs, which she makes herself.
Her Bombs have various different effects, and uses.
-Fire Bombs- used as a typical explosive, which can do damage to enemies and structures.
-Flashbang Bombs- used to blind enemies to allow easy escape.
-Gas Bombs- used to render enemies asleep.
Strengths: She is a very good Climber, and her small size makes her both quick and capable of getting into small spaces with little problems. Very resourceful, Her knowledge in Chemistry allows her to craft different compounds for her bombs which have various effects.
Weaknessess: She doesn't have great physical strength, and defenses are even worse. Also because of her disdain towards getting wet in cold water, she never learned how to swim. Let hope she *or somebody* finds a way to make her armor lighter so she doesn't sink..?
Her lack of experience in battle, and not wanting to cause harm to others makes her a bit vulnerable at times, so she prefers to avoid fighting as much as possible.
Likes: Tinkering, Protecting others, Being with Friends, and Fish
Dislikes: Water, Evil Doers, Seeing others suffer, Her former king.
Bio:
For as long as she has lived, Kohaku has never been able to conjure spells like the rest of her people. It didn't seem like much of a problem to her at first, at least until she had to go to school. The other children made fun of her all the time, because even the simplest of spells were impossible to her. Her parents pulled her from the public classes and attempted to teach Kohaku different trades themselves. They tried Chemistry, Botany, all of which Kohaku could learn, but anything to do with magic was simply out of the question.
After some weeks had passed, the solution Kohaku's parents had come up with, only proved to be temporary, as the people continued to chastise her for her disability. It had eventually come to the attention of nobles, who told the King of Koal.
Fearing something horrible might happen, Kohaku and her family decided to flee from Koal one night by boat. The journey was harsh, as they had to pass though heavy storms, which circle around the Island Kingdom. After several days at sea, Kohaku and her family found their way to dry land and made their way to Zephyrus for safe haven. After pleading with the Monarch (be it the King or Princess Sherry), They were granted citizenship with the condition that They all find a way to contribute to the Kingdom.
For Kohaku's parents, it was easy, since they both had their talents. Kohaku on the other hand had a little more trouble. It wasn't until she met a Rocket Knight that she realized what she wanted to do; Help others. It took some convincing, but she eventually managed to earn her place in the knighthood, however she has much more to learn than she may have bargained for, and she has a long way to go before she is as strong as the others, but until then, she'll have to make due with the knowledge she's gained from her parents.
