Name: Cerberin Vyres
Age: 18
Race: Human
Power Level: Medium-Low
Physical Description:
-Green Eyes
-Short Brown Hair
-Thin Build
-Light Skin
-Tattoo on his right hand
Power: No personal supernatural powers beyond a huge amount of combat experience with a large variety of weapons.
However, Cerberin wields the Nibelung Valesti, an ancient and supremely powerful weapon which was forged of the lifeblood of the Multiverse itself, said to be the very first fusion of the powers of Materal and Magic, of Steel and Spellfire, the prototype from which all other weapons were forged.
Its forms are myriad, for it is not so much a thing as a concept, the idea of a Legendary Weapon given physical form.
All through history, it has been known... many blades, many names, each the same, each different.
Caledfwlch.
Excalibur.
Stormbringer.
Mournblade.
Rhindon.
Skofnung.
Dyrnwyn.
Kladenets.
Hrunting.
Kokuenra.
Durandal.
Gae Bolg.
Clarant.
Hundreds, thousands, millions of blades, millions of stories... all the same, all just a tiny chapter in the tale of one weapon, cast down through millenia.
But its name now, as it was in the Beginning, is more mysterious than any other title it has been given.
Nibelung vis Valesti un Yggdrasil, the Amber Blade.
The Nibelung Valesti can take on many forms, but all of them are empowered by the bearer's willpower and their bonds with their allies.
To each ally, a suite of powers can be drawn, each bond unique, each with a different ability aligned with it.
As well, the Blade can be 'forged' at places of immense magical power to grant it powers associated with that place's magic.
The effects a weapon will have depend on a party member's relation to him, which is measured on a six point scale, thusly:
1- Hate
2- Dislike
3- Neutral
4- Aquaintance
5- Friend
6- Bound
Each level has a specific effect on the blade:
1- If at this level, no ability is gained by the blade.
2- The blade can access the barest scraps of power from the bond, and can manifest in that bond's Primary Form.
3- The blade can access a middling amount of power, and gains an initial ability.
4- The bond grows in strength, allowing further manipulation of its structure: Nibelung Valesti can call forth the Secondary Form of the Bond's weapon.
5- The bond fairly radiates power, granting the blade a passive ability.
6- The bond is so strong, it changes the very nature of the Blade's form, allowing for a unique modifier to be applied to the equipped weapon form.
As well, with each level, The overall power of the blade increases when using abilities drawn from that power source, as well as that of the weilder.
In addition to this, the blade's form is controlled by Archetypes, mystical frameworks which aid in focusing and solidifying its immense power, each symbolized by a type of warrior.
Cerberin has access to the following:
The Saber: The Saber is a master of the blade, and is often associated with leaders. Its weapon is the Sword.
The Lancer: The Lancer is a competant mid-range fighter, and his weapon is that which calls forth the form of the Spear, Javelin, and other such polearms.
The Archer: The Archer wields a long-range bow, and attacks from long distances to deliver efficient, deadly attacks.
